Summer Reading Challenge 2020

VL Leaflet Summer 2020 (1) (1)

Hello book enthusiast!

We would like to invite your child to take part in this year’s Summer Reading Challenge, which will be running online throughout the summer holiday.

The Summer Reading Challenge is the UK’s biggest free reading promotion for primary-aged children. Children are encouraged to read any books of their choice during the summer holiday and record these online, unlocking rewards as they reach their target. The website is free to access and a place for children to rate and review their books and work towards their reading goal. It also features video content, games, quizzes and digital and downloadable activities to incentivise and encourage children and their families to take part in the Challenge at home.

Please visit the website to sign up your child: www.summerreadingchallenge.org.uk

Although public libraries are currently closed, Hackney’s e library is available free of charge for all Hackney Residents, all you need is a library card and pin number to access it. Due to the current situation there is a temporary change of procedure for those individuals that wish to have access to our E Library but are unable to come into the Library to get a library card.

Here is the link to the online self-registration page: https://hackney.gov.uk/libraries#join
