WAMHS

The Wellbeing and Mental Health in Schools (WAMHS) project is an initiative led by the CAMHS Alliance with the support of the Children and Young People’s Integrated Commissioning work stream in City & Hackney.

This innovative service aims to improve mental health and wellbeing support for children and young people in schools, colleges, specialist and alternative provision education settings in City & Hackney.

A Welcome from Our Wellbeing Worker

“Hello Mossbourne Parents! I am Eva Labedz, and I am the Educational Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) based at MPA every Wednesday afternoon. I work within the Mental Health Support Team (MHST) which supports schools across Hackney to promote positive wellbeing and mental health. We are also part of the WAMHS project:

My role can include offering 1:1 practical parent-led programmes around helping your child with fears and worries, or helping to manage behaviour that challenges. As well as this, I can offer whole class workshops for children around things like transitions/changes, exam worries and managing emotions, as well as smaller targeted groups for children experiencing a particular difficulty around wellbeing. I can also offer parent groups and workshops around any particular topics that would be useful to you – please do let me or Ms. Russell know if there is anything you would like a workshop about!”
