The Wellbeing and Mental Health in Schools (WAMHS) project is an initiative led by the CAMHS Alliance with the support of the Children and Young People’s Integrated Commissioning work stream in City & Hackney. This innovative service aims to improve mental health and wellbeing support for children and young people in schools, colleges, specialist and alternative provision education settings in City & Hackney.

A Welcome from our school Child and Adolescent Mental Health worker

Hello Mossbourne Parents! My name is Eleni Charalampopoulou and I am the wellbeing clinician based at the school two days a month (every other Monday). I am part of the WAMHS project, which is aimed at supporting the wellbeing of children and families in the school. This is a project which has been rolled out across all Hackney schools and the main purpose is to maintain a whole school approach for wellbeing and mental health. More information can be found here:

Since February, I have been meeting with teachers and parents for one off consultations, to think about home and school working jointly and consistently to support our children. Should you wish to speak with me about anything mental health/wellbeing related, please get in touch with Ms Russell.

We are also planning a mental wellbeing workshop for parents to think about ways to look after ourselves as adults so that we can keep up with the many family and personal demands that we have to tackle daily. We will be sharing more information about this soon.
